So updates for XP will end tomorrow. After that those of you still running XP will not have anymore updates in terms of security. So what do you need to worry about or do you need to worry? PCWorld has written an article where they have talked to security experts about what you need to know. This will help you in deciding whether you want to upgrade or not. My personal opinion is that if you have a good firewall and anti-virus (AVG is the best I found) then you could continue to run as long as the machine runs. Another way to protect yourself, especially if you are not going to load additional software (though you can do it with an admin password) is to load a program called Steady State (Free from Microsoft) or Deep Freeze (Paid). These programs lock the computer at its current state and anything that is change or software loaded is gone when the system is rebooted. This prevents any viruses or malware from making changes.
