You would think that when it comes to the Windows Mobile Phone, my subject says it all. Or at least it seems like that when you look at the apps available on the Windows Mobile platform. I used to be an avid Windows Mobile Phone user and was very hard pressed to switch because of how well it connected with Outlook for calendar, contacts, emails, and tasks. When I did upgrade I went with the Droid for two reasons: one was I needed a phone with on board GPS and software, something my Windows Mobile was lacking without an external receiver and software; second reason I went to Droid and not iPhone was Verizon didn’t have the iPhone due to the lock AT&T had on it. The first thing I noticed right away was the amount of apps available on the Droid compared to my Windows phone. It was the difference between night & day. Well, that was 3 years ago, and where are we today, about the same boat. So much so that Microsoft and Nokia are going to invest millions into app development. To read the story click here.
