Computer Security – Part 8

This is the final installment on Computer Security and I hope you have found these quite helpful for making a better computer experience.  On this post I will be dealing with changes to make in several browsers to help make them more secure.  The US Computer Emergency Readiness Team has a detailed explanation of why and how to secure your browsers.  They give specific help for Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and Safari.  They also have links Opera, Netscape, and a couple others.  To read how to make changes click here. One change I would add to the Internet Explorer settings is on the Cookie handling I would block third party cookies and not prompt.  I do not know of any instance where a third party cookie is or would be needed.

They have help on Home Network Security.

Here is help on Home Computer Security.
